Expenses covered

Tuition, hostel, travel, books, equipment, lab/library fees, computer costs, insurance and other course-related expenses (with valid receipts).

Tax benefit (Section 80E)

Interest on education loans is deductible under Section 80E. Claim applies only to the interest portion and is available for up to 8 years from the start of repayment or until interest is paid in full.
