XAT Exam

Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is a common entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. XAT is conducted annually and nearly 1 lakh candidates appear in it every year. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, 250 participating B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post-graduate management programmes such as MBA, PGDM and Executive MBA.

XAT 2026 registration last date is December 5, 2025. XAT 2026 exam will be conducted on January 4, 2026. Candidates interested in appearing for this national level exam must complete their registration by the deadline.

About the XAT Exam

• Conducting Body: XLRI Jamshedpur, on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI).
• Purpose: Provides admission to MBA/PGDM programs at XLRI and over 250 other participating B-schools across India.
• Mode: Computer-based test.
• Exam Date: XAT 2026 is scheduled for January 4, 2026.
• Sections: Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.
• Eligibility: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Final-year students can also apply. There is no age limit.
